How much Architecture do You need?
Enterprise Architecture is one of the most difficult balancing acts in software development. Too much of it, and it becomes an ivory tower, where extravagant and comprehensive approaches are put together but never implemented as intended, because of cost and complexity. Too little of it, and the daily troubles with poorly architected applications will never let you forget your architectural sins.
Great frameworks and methodologies are available (Zachman, The Open Group Architecture Framework – TOGAF 9, etc.) but they have to be customized in a pragmatic way to meet the specific needs of your environment.
Let’s talk if you would like to:
- Establish an Enterprise Architecture discipline in your organization
- Refresh and re-energize an existing Enterprise Architecture organization with up to date frameworks and methodologies
- Have an independent, unbiased review of a critical part of your architecture
